NUAD BO-RARN

Nuad Bo-Rarn, or Ancient Thai Massage is a unique form of body therapy dating back to the time of the Buddha, and brought to Thailand and practiced by the Buddhist monks of the time. In the north of Thailand, many temples still practice this therapy to treat the sick, in preference to Western medicine and drugs. Many other therapies have been extracted from this Ayurvedic whole, such as Reflexology, Swedish massage and Aromatherapy, and Shiatsu. Reason and results would suggest that the whole must be greater than its separate components.

MASSAGE CLASSES AND COURSES

At Phuket Health Spa Training Center for Thai Massage, we teach Traditional Northern Thai Nuad-bo Rarn Massage, to students from all over the world.
Some are already practitioners in another field of physical therapy, while others are beginners taking their first step into the world of natural healing.
Small numbers ( 1-3), and committed staff, ensure that all students, whatever their level gain proficiency in their chosen courses in the shortest possible time. Courses range from a day “introduction to Thai Massage”, to a full professional 3-5-10 day intensive training program.
Levels 1 to 4 cover all aspects of the massage in all positions, while our spa block, also 3-5 day training, including Swedish oil massage, Body scrub, Facial, Body wraps, Head and Feet.
Courses may be completed in half or full days to allow for other holiday commitments.
Diploma issued from “Thai institute of Massage” and “Kata Spa”. 

 

PHUKET HEALTH SPA & ACCOMODATION

Phuket Health Spa & Retreat, where the training center is based, is a Thai Herbal Spa and Massage centre. We are open seven days a week and therefore provide our students a
great deal of flexibility in their thai massage-course/holiday planning.
We offer ancient Buddhist meditation techniques i.e. “Witness Meditation”, adapted to modern day living and body-active styles i.e. Water Meditation, Walking Meditation and our Breathing Meditation, incorporated into a personal development program, individually designed and adapted
for Your holiday stay!

NEW SPA MASSAGE COURSE

We have now introduced a special course at our massage schools in Phuket for those wishing to work in health spas, hotels and other alternative therapy centers.

The basic course (*30 hrs) covers full body massage in Northern Thai-style with herbal aromatic oils. While a second course of the same duration covers spa therapies including Foot Massage / Face Massage / Head and Hair Massage / Body wraps and Herbal baths. Course 1 or appropriate experience is prerequisite for course 2.

Successful students will be certified by the Phuket Training Center for Thai Massage.

Bookings and opening hours.
Massage courses and classes generally run from either 10 to 1pm, or 2pm to 5pm, but other times are available by arrangement. The center and Spa is open seven days a week for bookings and information.
